Student ID Cards
Each student is issued with a Student ID Card. The Student ID Card contains the following information:

Student Name
-
Date of birth
-
Student ID Number and corresponding barcode

School Photograph
-
NESA ID Number (Year 10, 11 and 12 Students only)

Date of issue
The Student ID cards also contain NFC technology, enabling them to be used with proximity readers.

Why do we have a Student ID Card?The primary use of the Student ID Card is for identification purposes. Students are required to carry their ID card with them at all times whilst on campus. The Student ID Cards also integrate with some of our digital platforms, allowing us to streamline some day to day tasks.

Which platforms are Student ID Cards used with?Our Student ID Cards can be used for: - Sigining in and out of school via the Student Kiosks in the Front Office or Student Services Office - Signing in and out of the Health Centre - Borrowing resources from the Library or ICT Services - Bus travellers can use their Student ID Card to register as a passenger (Cowra and Grenfell runs only) Future uses for the Student ID Cards include: - Canteen - Printing

What happens if a Student ID Card is lost or becomes damaged?Students should report their card as lost to the Student Services Office. A replacement card will be ordered, with a replacement fee of $10 to be charged to the student's account.

What happens if a Student ID Card does not work with one or more digital platform?If a Student ID Card is not working with one or more of the digital platforms available, the student should report the issue to the Student Services Office. The card will be given to ICT Services for testing. If the issues cannot be resolved, and there is no sign of damage, the card will be replaced at no cost.

What if the details on the Student ID Card are incorrect?If the name or date of birth printed onto the Student ID Card is incorrect, a parent or guardian will need to contact the Front Office to advise that a correction is required. The school will then issue a replacement card at no cost. The ID card with the incorrect details will need to be handed back.

Can my Student ID Card be used outside of Red Bend Catholic College?The Student ID Cards can be used when travelling to and from school via Forbes Bus Lines and Western Road Liners bus services. The Student ID Cards cannot be used to tap on or off of any form of NSW public transport. Students will still need a valid Opal card or other payment method to utilise those services. The Student ID Cards can also be used as a Secondary Identification Document (List 2).
